Ghosts also called apparition, spirit, specter, ghoul, phantom, phantasm, specter, wraith, etc.
I obviously don't have to tell you what a ghost is.
They have fascinated me since I was a kid. I remember telling friends when I was in seventh grade or so that I wanted to be a ghost hunter. (And I was completely serious! I did a lot of research & there is a lot of scientific equipment with which one can actually track ghosts!)
I obviously don't have to tell you what a ghost is.

Prairie Ghosts was one of my favorite websites to browse, & Troy Taylor was my hero!
I even read some ghost/paranormal related books. The Amityville Horror by Jay Anson was one of them. Mom found it at a jumble sale & brought it back cause she knew I'd like it. I read it & it was amazing! I was scared for days. I lent it to my friend, who lent it to her older sister (10 years older!) & she was scared to go to the toilet for a couple of days... and she's not the fraidy-cat type. But I lacked one main skill that a ghost hunter really needs: fearlessness in front of ghosts. I didn't know how I would handle if if I ever really saw a ghost! I am weak like that. :(
Later on the whole thought fizzled out. (And I found out that Amityville Horror was most probably a complete hoax. Or a highly fictionalized account, at best! Thank You Wikipedia!)
I still sometimes think of my near obsession with ghosts. It was kinda fun. I still feel an odd feeling of nostalgia when I see or hear anything ghost related. I am slightly more cynical now but I do still believe!
