~ Cold Water Locket ~

Last night I was sitting here thinking about how I should buy myself something for Christmas, something that isn't camera or photography themed/related (don't get me wrong, I love those things, it's just that I wanted something slightly different now).

So I decided on something sea themed. Perhaps I have been browsing sealust too often recently?

I finally settled on the Cold Water Locket from the Blue Balloon Shop (on etsy).

Marie is the talented lady behind the shop, other than create these lovely pieces of jewellery she also does amazing photography & is a violinist as well. Oh & she has the cutest little boy in the entire world, I thought that deserved a mention.

I know of her store because my mom won a necklace of hers in a giveaway a little over a year ago. That necklace is in one of my special boxes. I haven't worn it as much as I'd like to but I look at it often.

I love everything about it- the fact that it's brass & the wonderful picture of Lake Minesotta (clicked by Marie). The etchings on the outside of this locket remind me of a vintage compass, I cannot wait to get this lovely necklace & put photos of loved ones in it. ♡

Cannot believe Christmas is over! I spent a quiet one at home this year, it wasn't much different than any other day for me. What about you?
