It feels like forever since I've posted film photos I took. It's been a while since I bought my Superheadz UWS clone, & this is the first time I'm posting photos from it here. Both of these were taken in my apartment complex, the first one is the view from my window. These were taken late last year, from the first roll in this camera.
Ever since I can remember, my parents have been searching for our dream home. When I was sixteen, we moved into this place. It was so new & exciting. I was so happy to get my own room back then. I love that my place is very centrally located (very close to a national highway) but at the same time off the road, so we don't get all the traffic noise or direct pollution. I'm lucky to live here.

i live in something similar too! Just that in Singapore, we call it a flat. And new flats go up a lot higher due to the lack of land here.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue sky! I haven't finished my 2nd roll with my own Superheadz. I only take it out when it's suuuper sunny since I can't find a higher film speed such as 400.
ReplyDeleteOh we called them flats for the longest time here too. Apartment is sort of a new term locally but at least it's easy, clear cut term to understand. There are some terms that I still don't completely get... like what's a condo? Is it a bungalow or row house? And what's a duplex? Large apartment or penthouse? :-/
ReplyDeleteIn Mumbai too most new buildings are high rises, but where we live is quite close to the airport, so there are restrictions on how high any building can be.
Thanks Arvee! Blue Skies with fluffy white clouds are my favorite kind, that's why my style blog ( style.magalic.com ) is called Blue Skies, Calm Seas & Me. Oddly enough, 400 speed is the easiest film to find here. Everything else is rarer. Even people who don't practice analog photography at all give me tips to use it. But I really enjoy using 200 or 100 film during hot summers. Don't know how the weather is in Philippines right now but since it's a tropical country like India I'm guessing hot!! Now's the perfect time to finish the roll. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely hot here during summer! Haha... I still have a few shots to finish the roll. Really? 400 iso can only be found in Manila online. 100 and 200 is sooo common here in my city. How much do film rolls usually cost in India? :)
ReplyDeleteThe most common that you will find is Kodak 400, which is INR 140 (approx USD 2.5) but you get two AA batteries free. You can of course get them cheaper if you buy in bulk but shops are closing down & that's rarer to find.
