If I asked all of my readers to raise your hands if you've ever got a crappy gift, I'm sure there'd be many of you. As a child, I was taught that it's the gesture that matters. Still, I couldn't help but be extremely disappointed every time I got something I didn't like - something I knew right away that I would never use.
But I don't blame people though. I can be really hard to shop for. And I've sometimes had to really scratch my head while shopping for friends too. Money is usually considered a good option to gift someone but it may seem like the person has given up - They weren't imaginative enough to pick a good gift so they took the easy way out.
This is why I particularly appreciated the concept of WittyGift.
The concept of 'gift boxes' is very popular abroad & WittyGift, a young Indo-French company has brought them to India.
The premise is simple - the buyer (gifter?) chooses between their wide range of boxes like Wellness, Wellness Premier, Adventure, Culture, Dance, Indulgence for Couples & more (they're coming out with a gourmet box very soon). They send you a glossy packed box that you can gift wrap & give to the receiver (giftee?!) It contains a glossy catalogue & a gold card with no face value (valid for a year).
