Slow Furniture

By now everyone's heard of the slow food movement, right? First promoted in the late 80s as an alternative to fast food, it strived to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem & contemplative, slower consumption.
Dutch brand Slowwood has gone & applied the concept to furniture. Everything they have is handmade and hand-sourced in Fryslan, Netherlands by local craftsmen using solid wood, natural finishes & mineral paint, all with the aim of making you slow down & appreciate well-made furniture. Now there's a furniture concept that could grow on me.

love,
